A used car dealership just before the first turn into our subdivision is putting up a new showroom on the lot. All week, they've had one of those signs-on-wheels in front of the business to advertise their hard-hat specials. Unfortunately, it's been a bit windy, and the letters at the moment now read

CONSTRUCTIO
SALE

Not dirty at all is this creative sign of sorts, which my Friend Mel spotted during one of her recent walkabouts in the UK. You Who people will need to explain it to me:

Finally, I just got back from a scenic 30-mile tour of the 290 and 190. Our oldest car, which we're saving for Emily, had some overheating problems, but they seem to be fixed.  The overheating also blew the check-engine light, which meant, as it has the last two years, that I needed to take the car through the dreaded OBDII Drive Cycle before the car could be plugged into Albany for its emissions inspection.  On the final leg of that 30-mile journey, I cut back to the Mainline 90 by way of the 33, the same route that visiting NFL players take when they stay at one of our (um, two) fancyass downtown hotels.

One of those players this weekend will be our former running back, Willis Magahee.  And lookee at what HE gets to greet him, on a billboard right before the Harlem Road exit:

Sales, I'm told, are brisk.
