There will be all kinds of protests from the gun nuts about the following quote being taken out of context, but yknow? If you're gonna hold your annual convention during the anniversary week of Columbine and Waco, you're just asking for that kind of thing.

America, say hello to Wayne LaPierre:

ST. LOUIS - The National Rifle Association, citing shifting political winds in Congress after the 2006 elections, urged its members Saturday to unite against "the storm that lies ahead" for gun owners.

"Today, there is not one firearm owner whose freedom is secure," the group's executive vice president, Wayne R. LaPierre, told thousands gathered for the annual national convention here.

"You will rise and stand and we, together, we will fight them all."

Well, 30 31 fewer than you had to fight at the start of the day today.

The Second Amendment strikes again.  America, fuck yeah!

Columbine, Waco, and Oklahoma City.

Now Virginia Tech.

T'hell with the Ides of March... The Ides of April is what you have to look out for.

I didn't mean to leave those bad OKC memories out of my rant- I was just in a federal building last Friday which was a twin of the Murrah Building and they have a touching memorial to it there- but until the National Fertilizer Association starts lobbying against any attempt to regulate its product the way the gun nuts do, I'm gonna rant around them.

::hugs::
