Sidetracks to the Sporting Life
Jun. 28th, 2006 10:22 pmPresenting, or so says one persistent rumor, the new 2006-07 uniform for Your Buffalo Sabres:

The good news? The Blue and Gold are back. The bad news is, that logo looks like Snagglepuss wearing sunglasses.
-----
Note to Red Sox fans: in 1986, you ALSO beat us the first two times we played in games that counted.
Not that I got to see either of the Boston wins this year. This would be my protest in parody about the Major League Baseball blackout rules, which make nuclear physics seem like playing with Lego.
----
Roger Angell has a new book out, and it isn't even about baseball, but I still want it. I've had more trouble concentrating on my current baseball fiction read, the preface of which I shared with a couple of yas. It started out with great promise in describing the ideal baseball lineup from the Parthenon Diner (Home of the Original Souvlaki™) but hasn't been easy to read since.

Is it football season yet?
