Night Vale has had to pull back from soliciting material because they were deluged. I think they have the weather penciled in for at least another year. I do find the introduction distracting -- I don't mind the end credits so much, but it takes away from the atmosphere of the show when you have to spend a minute listening to someone plug stuff before it begins. The I'm-Joseph-Fink jokes don't make up for it.
Some of it is, how shall I say, not quite as weird or creepy as it used to be, but it's still enjoyable, and it takes up less than an hour a month, so I think I'm in it for the long haul. And every now and then they pull off something really interesting.
