And I didn't even loaf for the other half of the workday yesterday. I'd just thought it would be good for the ol' brain if I had a day away from the beeping phone, the constant emails, the various interruptions of hanging around an office. I managed to get the day set up with no appointments, so I went in late after knocking off another wall of tile turds. A small wall, granted; just about four rows of formerly pink tile behind the back wall of the shower, but I got pretty much every speck of the stuff removed, then showered and felt up to facing a much shorter workday.
Yesterday was Eleanor's only workday of the week. That will be the standard now about half the time, with a second day being the maximum above that. So I divided the afternoon after my return and her departure into about one third vegging, one third cat communing, and one third realizing I'd dodged a bullet several years back.
The vegging was sitting down for a couple of hours and watching the long awaited Black Widow film. It cost nothing because the kids added it to their Disney+ package and thus, added it to us. There's less shoot-em-up than in the more recent Avengers films, more in the first hour than the second, and overall they did a nice job of "advancing" the story. That's in quotes because this is set five years back in the timeline and they had inherent limits on what they could and couldn't do. Kill Natasha, for one, although that later event becomes the subject of the obligatory post-credits scene. Scarlett's character is understated, if anything, which helps bring out the newly cast roles of her sestra, her stepmom and dad, and the villains of the piece.

The second third was the moment of joy seeing these two bonding:
Their first birthdays are next month, about two weeks apart. Jack, the bigger tabby, is actually the younger. Losing Boz last year was painful. but having Jack come into our lives four months later, bonding with Bronzini as he has, makes up for much of the pain.
Not that the other two round here aren't doing their level best to look cute:

Then there's the third third, that I was randomly reminded of during the afternoon and wound up diving down various rabbit holes trying to find out whatif....
But I'm taking a mental health third and saving that one for another time.
