Animal Farm

I read my riff on Tom's Diner with Bernie in the picture at the poetry group tonight. It got a good reception. Eleanor read a more serious one about the casualties of the pandemic, which was likewise well received.

We're on break now, so I'm just going to go with the latest from Catlandia.

Eleanor: I need garlic for this recipe. Can you go to Wegmans?

Me: Sure.  Can I borrow your coat?



Zoey (the good older cat) really has only one bad habit. Anywhere between three and five in the morning, she starts her routine of trying to wake me up by batting at the venetian blinds next to the bed. It’s gotten so bad recently I’ve taken to raising them up, which risks the neighbors seeing me in my nakedidity, enhanced by the $&@!? Alcatraz outdoor lighting they have on that side of their house. But at least I can get back to sleep that way.

Now, we’ve come to discover that she’s been training the little guy in the ways of the Cat Jedi.
