I'm waiting for my 1:00 appointment to show up in suburban Rochester, my third of the day. The first two, at 9 and 11, went fine. Everyone has to be checked in, checked out, cleaned up after, and the phone connection on the first one was fine.

Not that an easy morning was what my subconscious expected. The weird dream right before I woke up this morning was about that very kind of hearing with that very trustee- only it was in person, not by phone; it was a business case, which this wasn't; and he was very contentious with me in a passive-aggressive sort of way. Yeah, I need that before hitting the road.  The night before, I had an even weirder one involving some sort of dystopic nursing home; something of a cross between Upload and Cuckoo's Nest, I THINK the premise was they were secretly changing some of the elderly female residents into males to, you know, keep the population balanced- and I found out and was trying to report it.  Last thing I remember is being chased by a horde of their big burly orderlies (affectionately named "Teddys" because of how cute and cuddly they were).

That settles it. No more Japanese food before I go to bed.

I managed to arrange a haircut after work tomorrow; Pepper remains scheduled to come back with me to the place next door to this office a week from Thursday. It's an even bet which of us will wind up leaving more hair on the floor.

Odd recalled memory of the week so far: I passed this sign on my way to work yesterday morning-

- and so naturally, when I made a lunch run to Wegmans, I had to get this for him-

I'll have to stop by and ask if he liked it.

Then, Eleanor mentioned needing to stop at a store to pick up a hoe.  I told her that was fine, or she could just order one online:

And in the image I worked the hardest on all week that got no comments on it whatsoever, here we see my tribute to legendary MAD Magazine cartoonist Al Jaffee, who just announced his retirement this week at the age of 99 after a 79-year-old career:

If you don't get that, buy the Issue 14 that will feature much of Al's life of work, including his final Fold-In.

In other news, our President has gone stark raving mad, accusing the local protester assaulted by police of being an Antifa agitator who was using sekrit George Soros-funded technology "to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment." Okay, I made up the Soros part, although these conspiracy theorists are all into that, too. Just this morning, I realized that the Trumpernutter around the corner with the Cheeto sticker on his truck also has a QAnon slogan scribbled on the back of it, and he's an old coot, too. I'd wondered why he was yelling about George Soros “paying that cuck dog to be on my lawn!”

Third client's almost here, then it's off to see the fourth. I better put on my mask and cover my head in tin foil.

ETA. I bailed on Number Four for the afternoon. Dumb Dog is so dumb- HOW DUMB IS SHE?- that she refused to go into the air-conditioned house when Eleanor needed to go to BLANK. So I just scooted home ASAP. Little brat was fine. And I'm STILL getting my hair cut before she does:P
