Netflix brought The Trip to Italy the other day- a mockumentary about two British actors sampling food, wine and impressions of famed actors all over the Italian peninsula. We knew Steve Coogan a little, mainly most recently from Philhomena; Rob Brydon, we knew even less. Everyone else in the film is an actor playing someone else, except the food and staffs, who I'm pretty sure were real.
It was so enjoyable, I scored the original from the library yesterday and we watched it last night and tonight. Just called The Trip, and originally a six-episode BBC series set in The North, it features plenty of Wordsworth and Coleridge, but also lots of Pacino, Caine, Connery and other impressions and improvisation.
We'll be involved in some much shorter and local trips this week. Cameron's got an appointment with his family dentist at the end of the day tomorrow; we'll then switch cars and take theirs for its annual inspection. I'll bring it back to them Wednesday or Thursday, then I have court in Olean (about an hour south of here) on Friday. I'm still a bit backlogged from being away last weekend, but have only one court date before Friday (so far), so that should help with the catch-up. I'll try not to overdo it, though; after all,
