Back in Saddle

Waiting for the local car dealer to look over my road hazard paperwork and maybe send me outta here with a few bucks. I've eased into the first workday back without too much grief. Well, other than one client who started calling at 8:59 and her opponent, who has emailed at least four times despite me telling him, the first two times, no, I am ethically prohibited from talking to you because you HAVE A @;()$&!? LAWYER!

Emily took a carload to the apartment today. She goes back tomorrow to help another friend move (and I go there, too, for a closing), and then Friday is Big Move With UHaul Day, when I will not work-work at all.

I still owe a post, and lots of pics, from Monday- family in the morning and a thoroughly fun time (off the field, at least) at Citi Field on Monday night. We were 30 feet from the SNY broadcast booth, and while security kept us from chatting with Gary, Keith and Ron, we got to watch them work. Even between innings when the red light is off, they were still busy- looking things up on their laptops, talking show prep, and, by all signs, having fun up there. Not an easy thing to do on the Mets-Titanic television network.

Everyone at home had gotten over the worst of the bugs that came round after I left. Eleanor cleared a butt-ton of brush from the back while I was away, and she's back at Wegmans this morning.

Annnd.... "road hazard" is more a metaphysical concept than an actual benefit. I'm getting $50, the cost of two flat repairs, plus a new hubcap for the slightly different wheel I got sold yesterday. Meh- better than a sharp stick in the tire.
