Sew what?

Not that I'm up to major household projects or anything, but I didz stuff today. Murdered several hundred gazillion dust bunnies throughout the house, including those hard-to-reach spots under the beds. Moved one of said beds to actually fix the sieve of a storm window in this office. Put storms in front and back doors. Hellz, I even mended something- a comforter where the filling was squeezing out like toothpaste every night.  My only major Fail was not keeping up with the squirrel attacks at the bird feeders; fortunately, this has now been All Explained to me by this photograph (thanks, Kate, loveya, smooches):

All that, and even some work-work. With no mail or bank yesterday, and me on the road for almost the entire day, I had a lot to crank out. Part of yesterday was a full hour's wait at a client's office, which I blessedly covered by bringing The Passage along. I'd brought it to my first appointment of the day, to show the client, with a fairly uncommon name, that he had a character with his exact name in the novel (Michael and Sara's father, if you're reading along at home, and in a geeky line of work not too far off from what his namesake does in real life).  That got me within a few Parts of finishing it, and I should have it all-eyes by the end of the night tonight.

Tonight, a free-range roast chicken, and Mel Brooks's History of the World Part One. Subtitled for our resident rodents thusly:

Also, the dog. Who's been begging for noms since I started typing this pretty close to 1700 hours. "Set your clocks back" my ass.
