Lockdown Mode
Aug. 14th, 2011 08:42 pmGotta use the closest thing I can find to a Torchwood icon at the moment, since I've lapsed my extra userpics and ain't in the mental state to renew them.
Today was one of those rare ones where neither Eleanor nor I ever left the premises for the entire day. She had a very early workday yesterday for a new gig at Wegmans, will have another one like it tomorrow, and in between we all toodled out to Shakespeare in Delaware Park last night, so we were both ready for and entitled to a day off from the world. Today was the first Sunday I've been home in close to two months where I didn't have to be in church this morning, and so we weren't. Pre-purchased groceries and wineage took care of themselves for a change, and I spent time with home-spun Netflixings through the afternoon (finishing Britfilm Fish Tank) and early evening with the missus (starting Froggiefilm The Class). Wrote nothing (until now), produced nothing (other than the promise of a trip to Rochester Tuesday to finish up with one particular client there), generally did nothing other than laundry and, yes, the cleaning of a fish tank.
Emily did make progress toward an escape plan for month-end, though, and she did get off-premise a little while ago to help Cameron with some babysitting, so there's that.
