It went fast, all in all. Showed up in church for the first time in weeks, first time assisting in the service in well over a month. Found out that our effort to become a Reconciling Ministries congregation is not dead, but is still taking much longer than I would have liked or expected.  It's apparently set for a vote two weeks from Tuesday, and I will be there, win or lose.

Then it was a two-step over to the auto parts store. Fixing Emily's front turn signal did not clear the idiot light; rather, she had a headlight out over there, as well.  Thanks to good effort from me and Eleanor (and despite some really stupid 2000-ish engineering by GM), we got the new bulb installed and, even harder, the hardware reassembled.  She still needs a lights-on buzzer and her check engine light remains on, but the actual driving is much less annoying than it was a day ago.

Bills lost- badly- but I used the downtime of the game time to get a new read and the second Rachel McAdams time travel film from the library (always good to see it has a full parking lot on  Sundays during games), and then to replace my rapidly aging sneakers and work shoes.  With the new sneaks now on, I'm going to resume couch-to-5King, to be ready for the Turkey Trot on the 28th, if not something sooner.

Eleanor has a full workday tomorrow; I'll enter time, chase a few receivables, but the offices will be closed and it should be relatively quiet.

Thanks to all for all kind wishes yesterday:) (And I used the Slings and Arrows icon yesterday because the aforementioned Ms. McAdams was in the cast during the show's first season, with a reprise in its season 2 premiere.)

Sometimes the check engine light is there for routine maintenance and simply needs to be reset. GM is notorious for making this thing go off for issues as simple as a loose fuel cap. *rolls eyes*

In my Honda Accord I hold down my mileage reset before I start the car, keep it down as I start and wait until the light goes off, then let go. It's that simple. If the light comes back I know I have an issue, if it doesn't it was simply a routine maintenance nod.

That's once of the things I miss about my Saturn. It was an American car that you could do maintenance on easily. Why they didn't make it as a business is beyond me.
