Well, they TOLD us she was part Boxer....
Jan. 8th, 2014 09:04 pmWhich never made sense, since her non-Lab part was so clearly Shar pei, but now we know what Susan really meant:
JOE Boxer.

It's been over 48 hours since Ebony came home from surgery, and she's steadily improved- appetite, mobility and definitely attitude. We were both out of the house for most of the day today, and Eleanor saw her virtually LEAP into the snow to roll and play in it when she got home this afternoon.
Only complaint has been about the Cone of Shame. Clearly it bothers her neck and ears, plus all the running into things (speaking as one of the most common Things). So we're going tonight with an alternative method suggested by the vet for keeping her from her stitches: one of my old t-shirts tied in the back. She resisted a little at first, but she's happily sleepy now and has shown no interest in chewing through the straps fabric to get at the knitting. I'll cone her when we're out of the house, or if she again starts showing an interest as picking, but this seems a perfectly happy solution to getting through the next couple of weeks until they come out.
