Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman....
Apr. 26th, 2013 08:30 pmWhile checking the Rochester paper this morning for any extra Bills draft coverage (sigh- there warn't none), I did discover something surprising: part of the Spiderman 2 sequel is being filmed there, and they're looking for extras:

(Love how Maggie's gotta get her name in there, huh)
I encouraged her to apply, even though the scenes will involve car chases and likely produce only blurred images of the extras. But hey- a credit's a credit. I did rule out using her car in one of the chase scenes, though; given our luck with cars this month, that seemed a bit much:(
If nothing else, maybe she'll get to work on Maggie's next Congressional campaign. They already have a new slogan for it: "With great power comes great incumbency."

More is being unveiled about the Rochester filming of the “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
According to the Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc., filming will begin in Rochester in late April, early May.
In a news release, the company also said it is seeking men and women to appear as extras in the film ages 18 to 80, “all types and ethnicities.” It is also seeking people who have cars to work with their vehicles in the scenes.
If you are interested in appearing in the film, email a recent picture, contact information and vehicle description to rochester@gwcnyc.com.
I immediately contacted Emily, to see if she, or any other students at the RIT School of, yaknow, FILM AND ANIMATION, might have been contacted about this opportunity. Erm, no. Apparently Marc Webb (see what he did there?) doesn't want the competition from a bunch of far more talented students.I encouraged her to apply, even though the scenes will involve car chases and likely produce only blurred images of the extras.
