Mixed Baggage
Apr. 1st, 2013 08:46 pmDay one of the first "real" month of spring, well, sprung- back and forth between goodage and suckage.
It snowed in significant bursts at least three times today, the middle one working hail into the mix- but nothing stuck and there were just as many sunny moments in the course of the day.
Upon becoming sentient this morning, I got to see the thrilling sight of a sewer maintenance truck outside our house. Fortunately, it was gone without incident before Eleanor got up.
I accomplished most of what I needed to for work today, even if I did wind up scheduling my day for Wednesday that will have me out of here for likely over 12 hours.
I fool for no April Fells, but got at least two off- changing my Facebook hometown to Ouagadoudou, Burkina Faso (or, as we know it, Ouagadougou Ouagadougou), and changing our Wi-Fi network name to this:

The Mets won their season opener, but then they always do that. Miles away, the Yankees lost! The-e-e-e-e Yankees lost! And to the Red Sox, yet. Shortly after those, Eleanor and I finished the movie itself about two near-immortal Met and Sox knuckleballers, both alumni of the Buffalo Bisons, in a documentary called Knuckleball! that I won last month. The fraternity of these two gentlemen, along with the few remaining other Jedi Masters of this craft, is a touching one.
Tomorrow night, that Met knuckleballer makes his Toronto Blue Jay debut as their Opening Day pitcher, and it's not televised here:(
We'll see how this month evens out from here:)
