As I mentioned the other day, I really didn't like my trial of audiobooks- at least not enough to drop 15 bucks a month on a subscription to them. The first time I tried to quit, Audible got all oh noes you make us sad and cut the price in half for the first three months following the "free" month. Out of that, I got the final Hunger Games volume, Cutting for Stone (which I bailed on in audio format after a few chapters because if I heard the words "Sister Mary Joseph Praise" one more time I was gonna crucify myself), and.... nothing I could think to use the final cheap month on.

I went to cancel anyway, hoping the credit would remain. NO IT WON'T! CANCEL AND IT DIES DED DED DED!, it said. So, I offered it up to a nice fellow Cabin Pressure comm member, emailed the gift link, and once again went to cancel.

Bitch just can't quit me.

Now it's I think we should take a break from each other. How about three months off, no charge, no new credits, keep any credits you have (you mean the one I don't have anymore that you said I'd lose if I canceled back when I DID have it?) and still get the member price on anything you DO order (like, say, CP Series 4 if it comes out anytime soon).

Stupid me agreed to it.  It was just a matter of changing an Outlook date. I'm very good about not blowing deadlines like this, being afraid of malpractice and all, but I just wonder what will await me at the end of April when we do this dance for the FOURTH time?

Sorry, that was rude.  Amazon owns them now. They'd just turn him into a Kindle. Nevermind....
