Grumpy Cat's Little Sister Growly
Jun. 4th, 2013 08:24 pmShe came, she saw, she hissed and spat.
Yesterday was Cameron's 21st birthday. There were Plans, which I found out about sometime late Sunday night. Somewhere in that first overnight, I heard assorted crash-bang-thump noises, which confirmed that, indeed, the kids had brought the kitten with them for this particular visit.

That picture came after over 24 hours of acclamation to the other tenants, when she would deign to sit still long enough to be photographed. At 0500 yesterday, she wouldn't hold still long enough even to be fed.
Growly Cat needs to work on some manners.
I've seen her at their apartment since her previous, similar, visit, and she's fine with me when it's me on her turf. She just gets overwhelmed by the big paws, the beady little eyes, the constant interest in her tail and butt- and that's just me;) By this morning, she was in a somewhat better mood, and she even joined in a group crack session with Purina brand Temptations before hitting the road about six hours ago.
Cameron had a better time to mark his occasion. His 'rents took him and Em out for dinner, and, other than one issue I'll spare you with someone who wasn't even there (or here), a nice time was had by all. Eleanor and I provided only the transportation to that event, but we also got to store All The Cake Things that he acquired for XXI- a big Friendlys' Oreo cake that's still in our freezer, several slices of cheesecake I got us and them, not knowing about said cake, and a Wegmans chorklit special that Cam's fam delivered at their last birthday stop of the night.
We may not have gone out to any of his birthday events, but this is where they stayed for the trip. This is, and always will be, home.
And maybe, eventually, for Growly Cat.
